The Benefits of Professional Product Photography
In an e-commerce driven world, your products are the backbone of your business. There’s no denying the importance of great product photography, whether you’re looking to improve sales on your e-commerce product pages or increase engagement and conversion through social media.
Studies show that over 60% of consumers consider image quality to be pertinent when making purchases over the internet, so investing in clear, high resolution photography is vital for brands to make their mark in a saturated marketplace.
Increase search and social mobility
Making your brand more visible is the first step to generating awareness and sales. Visual content typically does very well online, while consumers are 40x more likely to share content that features an image across their social channels. The more shares your product pages receive, the more likely you are to reach new customers, increase traffic and strengthen SEO through social signals.
This means that your photography should not only be professional but should also be highly distinctive and branded. Creating shareable content starts with researching your target audience, establishing exactly what content your existing customer base is already sharing and where.
Mastering the art of product photography on Instagram is going to differ from taking photographs for Twitter and Facebook, for example. Posts on sites like Twitter are also restricted by character limit, which places more emphasis on stand-out imagery over lots of written content.
Build trust
Far from being able to touch and engage with products as they would in store, customers shopping online only have the imagery you provide to get an idea of exactly what you have for sale. This emphasizes the importance of high resolution photography that clearly demonstrates what the consumer can expect to receive when they make a purchase. Visual elements are particularly important to brands that exist solely online.

Be RELENTLESS...Pro Tips Vol. II
People often ask me questions about photography, but one of the most asked is "How do I take better photos"? So... I decided to put together a short list of basic tips that hopefully will help someone, who is in their photography "infancy", produce better images.
People often ask me questions about photography, but one of the most asked is "How do I take better photos"? So... I decided to put together a short list of basic tips that hopefully will help someone, who is in their photography "infancy", produce better images.
1. BE RELENTLESS...shoot everyday. You don't need to have a special occasion in order to pull out your camera and "play". Believe it or not, your first 10,000 images will be your worst. Experiment as much as possible with different settings and environments. “We never saw obstacles or problems, we only saw situations in need of solutions” Excerpt From: Tim S Grover. “Relentless.”
2. Light: Prior to even turning on your camera, see where the light is coming from, and use it to your advantage. Whether it is natural light coming from the sun, or a studio strobe, think of how can you use it to enhance your photo or create a desired effect. The placement of the light source compared to your subject can make a drastic difference.
3. Shoot in Manual Mode: f/4 is usually the sweet spot for most of my photography, but this can change dramatically depending on the time of day, where you are (inside or outside). For example on sunny afternoon my general starting point would be f/8 or f/9. In combination with your aperture, you need to keep your ISO as low as possible depending on the scene. For a sunny day outside, I would have an ISO of anywhere between 100-200; for a poorly lit room I would start at 800 and go up from there if your sensor can handle it.
4. Study & Learn: One of the biggest mistakes I see people do when they get started is go out and buy a ton of expensive gear that they don't need. Study the craft and learn FIRST, then you will know exactly what gear you need to buy or have for any occasion. Having an expensive camera or gear and not knowing how to use it doesn't just produce stunning images.
5. The Rule of Thirds: This is one of the most simple but dramatically effective tips/rules when it comes to improving your images. Basically, cut your frame into thirds by using both horizontal and vertical lines. You then place your point of interest over the cross sections of the grid, using the "thirds" to frame your subject. Reversely, breaking the rule of thirds in your imagery can produce stunning, eye catching photos; just like many other general photography rules.
The Benefits of Aerial/Drone Photography: Realtor Edition
The real estate industry is very fierce and competitive; therefore, the companies lagging behind are destined to fail! This is why Aerial/Drone Photography is such an important aspect of today's residential and commercial real estate. Buying a home is an emotional purchase so your advertising needs to not only convey information but also inspire emotion.
Benefits of Aerial Photography:
Expensive, but yet cheaper: Many may consider the Aerial/Drone Photography an expensive venture, but in reality; it is not so. It is much cheaper than hiring the services of the airplane or the helicopter for Aerial Photography. Again, why should one worry about spending a little extra for a high quality drone that renders immense and added advantage to get ahead in the competitive market?
Crystal clear view of the real estate property: One of the main reasons why Drone Photography of real estate properties has become highly popular is its ability to provide the crystal clear aerial view of the property. The buyers can see the property with bird’s eye view. It is an added advantage for both the sellers and the buyers. The sellers can show the full and clear view of the real estate properties to the buyers. Seeing the image or the video from an elevated place not only renders the comprehensive view of the property, but at the same time, it makes one see from the different angles that were impossible earlier. In fact, for marketing purpose, the advantage of Aerial/Drone Photography is incomparable.

A Weekend in "Beantown"
Recently, I had the opportunity to spend a weekend in historic "Beantown" aka Boston
Recently, I had the opportunity to spend a weekend in historic "Beantown" aka Boston. Boston (pronounced BOSS-TAN) is the capital and most populous city of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the United States. Boston is also the seat of Suffolk County, although the county government was disbanded on July 1, 1999. The city proper covers 48 square miles (124 km2) with an estimated population of 673,184 in 2016, making it the largest city in New England and the 23rd most populous city in the United States. One of the oldest cities in the United States, Boston was founded on the Shawmut Peninsula in 1630 by Puritan settlers from England. It was the scene of several key events of the American Revolution, such as the Boston Massacre, the Boston Tea Party, the Battle of Bunker Hill, and the Siege of Boston. Upon U.S. independence from Great Britain, it continued to be an important port and manufacturing hub as well as a center for education and culture. Through land reclamation and municipal annexation, Boston has expanded beyond the original peninsula. Its rich history attracts many tourists, with Faneuil Hall alone drawing over 20 million visitors per year. Boston's many firsts include the United States' first public school, Boston Latin School (1635), first subway system, the Tremont Street Subway (1897), and first public park, Boston Common (1634).
Even though, I didn't get to do EVERY single thing that Boston has to offer over a quick weekend, I was fortunate enough to take in a good portion; from walking the Freedom Trail to enjoying a game at the famous Fenway Park (right above the Green Monster) with my cousin for his birthday. I love exploring new cities with a bag pack and camera! Check out some of the sites below...as seen via my lenses...
Real Estate & Commercial Property...Images that speak!
Professional Photography has caused a fundamental shift in the real estate industry and is playing a key part in the success of many businesses in general
Professional Photography has caused a fundamental shift in the real estate industry and is playing a key part in the success of many businesses in general. Statistically, real estate listings that use professional photography services do much better than those that use photos from cheaper point and shoot or camera phone images. Although, recently point and shoot cameras have improved drastically and have many DSLR level features and specifications, they still require the photography knowledge and expertise in order to use that equipment effectively. 95 percent of users who view the photo(s) on a listing spend a total of 20 seconds longer looking at professional/high quality images of the home or property; just another reason to have outstanding imagery.
