This week I had the opportunity to go to Phoenix, AZ. After my business was taken care of, I had to hit the mountains! They don't have anything that massive or awesome where I'm from. I decided to go to Camelback mountain and put my name to the test and climb the mountain (2700 ft above sea level). Naturally I had my camera with me in my bag pack, even though half the time it stayed there while I was too busy trying to secure my footing and not fall of the mountain Lol! Nevertheless, I made it to the top in about an hour or so! It was amazing to see the whole Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe area all at once with the sun about to set. I don't think I've ever seen anything more beautiful and rewarding after the challenge of climbing the mountain. I hope you enjoy my images as much as I enjoyed having the opportunity to take them and just soak in some of some God's glory along the way. Camelback Mountain...I thank you for a glorious experience!
Denver...Via my lenses
Last week, I had the awesome opportunity to enjoy a little work and play in Denver, the capital of Colorado
Last week, I had the awesome opportunity to enjoy a little work and play in Denver, the capital of Colorado. Larimer Square, the city’s oldest block, features landmark 19th-century buildings; museums include the Denver Art Museum, an ultramodern complex known for its collection of indigenous works. Furthermore, Denver is also a jumping-off point for ski resorts in the nearby Rocky Mountains.
I hope you enjoy viewing my images ranging from the 16th Street Mall downtown, to the Museum of Nature & Science. You can also view other samples of my work from other various cities via my website: www.jreneephotos.com and on Apple News: https://apple.news/TSuoT2cWcSIWGqTzThnGZSQ

In my quest to discover interesting historic locations around the Dallas area, I came across the Cottonwood Creek Railroad Bridge (formerly known as The Pony Girder Bridge). This site is definitely a hidden historic gem in Allen, Texas (a suburb north of Dallas)! The bridge was built in 1910 in order to help the Houston and Texas Central Railroad companies transport goods between Dallas and Denison. Below are some images of what it currently looks like today!

Texas Sculpture Museum - An afternoon with the iPhone 7 Plus
If you care anything at all about smartphones, then you definitely have heard or read about the smartphone camera "war" between Apple, Samsung, and now...Google (with the release of the Pixel)
If you care anything at all about smartphones, then you definitely have heard or read about the smartphone camera "war" between Apple, Samsung, and now...Google (with the release of the Pixel).
So...today I spent about an hour walking around the exterior of the Texas Sculpture Museum with the iPhone 7 Plus camera. Check out some of the images that I captured...and make the decision for yourself about what smartphone camera is the reigning "king"....

Vantage Points and Perspective
Perspective in photography refers to the relationship between the objects in an image; determined by an object's relative position, size, scale and space. The world we live in is three-dimensional whereas photographs are two-dimensional representations of that world.
The focal length and the distance to the subject will create a certain perspective. By changing the focal length and distance to the subject, the perspective can be changed dramatically.
The most effective way to alter the perspective in photography is to change the vantage point. It is a fact the most common way to take an image is from eye level. If you move to the left or right, kneel down or find a higher point to shoot the image from, the perspective will change. Just a few feet might have great impact on the composition. As soon you have learned about the importance of composition in photography you will start looking for other camera positions. These aspects are especially important in Commercial Real Estate, Landscape, and Street Photography.
Distance is most often manipulated by the use of different lenses. A wide-angle lens will cause the linear perspective to be over emphasized, while a long telephoto will reduce the sense of distance. Lenses allow you to do is framing the shot successfully from a viewpoint that gives you the preferred perspective.
Below are some examples of images I have taken that exhibit different perspectives and vantage points, and how altering these two things can effectively change how photographs are viewed.
Commercial and Real Estate Property
Although I love several different genres of photography, the most profitable area of my business is Commercial and Real Estate Property. I currently work with about 5 to 6 different property management companies nation wide in order to produce inviting, aesthetically pleasing images for their marketing materials and creative design needs.

From the Terminal to the Hotel - A Story Told via my Lenses
Anyone who knows me, knows that there is rarely anywhere I go without at least one of "shooters". With that being said, I took the opportunity to document almost every aspect of one my latest photography trips; from the time spent sitting on the runway at the airport, up until my Uber dropping me off at my destination. Below are some of the images I captured of people, events, and scenery, enjoy!
